Junior Year Checklist

Take the PSAT in October
Research college choices
- College fairs (October and March)
- Helpful websites are located on our Helpful Websites page
- Use PrepHQ (My Organizer) to file and keep information organized
- College view books, pamphlets, catalogs, and handbooks in the Counseling Office
- People—your counselor, parents, older siblings, and friends
- Visit colleges
Prepare for ACT—you may do any of these: take the Test Prep class here at school, ask your counselor for advice, use resources on the ACT website, attend classes or workshops, purchase books, or software materials
Review your 4-year academic plan for graduation and college entrance requirements. Make adjustments with counselor if necessary
Review your results of the PSAT if you took the test
Take Michigan Merit Exam usually in March
Consider taking or re-taking the ACT in June—WATCH the registration deadline
