Six camping buddies from Grand Rapids
Christian High Class of '74 hiked among
the snow at Mt. Baker National Park in
Washington State to reconnect one weekend
in June 2004. The six came from
Oregon, Michigan, Finland, Washington,
and California. They stayed at Lori Feenstra’s
home in Everson, WA. Interesting note—four
of us had Miss Adeline DeBruyn as a first
grade teacher at Sylvan Christian School—they
all wrote her a card and concluded that
Christian girlfriends provide a deeper
connection than current female friends.
