Many friends, graduates,
and supporters of Grand Rapids Christian
Schools have given a gift through their
estate plan.
Here are some examples of how you can
leave a legacy of support to Grand Rapids
Christian Schools:
- Charitable bequest – make a
bequest through your estate as noted
in your will. The Foundation can provide
you with sample wording for your will.
- Charitable Gift
Annuity – a very
popular way to receive an income for life
while making an immediate and significant
gift to Grand Rapids Christian Schools – this
program is managed through our partnership
with the Barnabas Foundation.
- Charitable Trusts – craft a
charitable lead or remainder trust to
your specific charitable and financial
objectives.
You can establish a fund any time during
your lifetime or through your estate plan.
The Foundation has several options available
that provide current tax and estate planning
benefits while helping you support Grand
Rapids Christian Schools. We would be
happy to meet with you and your financial
advisor to discuss which giving program
best meets your needs.
Types of fund you can create
The following types of funds may be
established depending on your charitable
goals. Each fund varies in its purpose
and flexibility, but all are centered
on the principle of building permanent
endowment.
- Unrestricted
fund – every
year a gift is made from your fund to
Grand Rapids Christian Schools in the
area where financial resources are needed
most.
- Scholarship fund – every year
a gift is made from your fund to a family
who is unable to afford the full cost
of tuition.
- Field of interest
fund – every
year a gift is made from your fund to
Grand Rapids Christian Schools in an
area important to you such as an academic
area of study, arts, or music.
