Grandfriend’s Day – Friday, October 3, 2008

The role of grandfriends is important. That is why we hold Grandfriend’s Day every year. Students are always excited to see their grandfriends at school, touring their classrooms, meeting their friends and talking with their teachers.

Continuing in this tradition, please invite grandfriends to join others for a special worship and celebration service at the start of Grandfriend’s Day on Friday, October 3.

The morning kicks off at 8:30 a.m. with worship and singing at the Richard and Helen DeVos Center for Arts and Worship on the GRCHS campus, 2300 Plymouth SE. Reverend Scott Hoezee, director of the Center for Excellence in Preaching at Calvin Theological Seminary, will join us and share a few thoughts on why support of Christian education is critically important in today’s society.

After the worship service, there will be time for fellowship in the lobby. This time is scheduled to allow ample time to reach specific Grand Rapids Christian Schools for their individual programs.
