From Mr. Bryant's Desk - May 21, 2013

Three years ago, I became the principal of Grand Rapids Christian Middle School. At that time, our school communities were still processing the closing and consolidation of our city elementary schools and working to create a new culture and connected community in this program and on this campus. It was an emotional time for many of us, as we embraced change and celebrated a new day for Christian education in our city.
Today, GRCMS is a thriving and growing middle school program for 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th graders. From increased student enrollment and interest to increased learning and social opportunities, we are blessed to educate adolescents through the lens of the whole child (mind, body, and spirit). Our teachers are anchored in commitment to developing themselves, as we better educate every child. And your principal is just in love with his demanding job!
As we look to our future, there will be specific opportunities for parents and the community to join us in partnering to make Grand Rapids Christian Middle School an even better place for children to learn. We will continue to build the capacity of our team to maximize instruction while undergoing a facility transformation in the near future.
This school community has affirmed, accepted, and appreciated my family, my culture, my way of articulating my faith and my leadership in countless ways. For this, I continue to be humbled, honored and thankful.
Going into Memorial Day weekend and remembering those who served our country, I also want us to remember our history as a school community. Next school year, we will celebrate together the 10 year anniversary of Grand Rapids Christian Middle School. God is Good!
Expect the best!
