There is important news
about the future of Grand Rapids Christian
Schools.
Tim Wiersma, member of the Grand Rapids
Christian Schools' Board of Trustees and
Chair of the board's Strategic Planning
Committee, and Rich Liverance, member
of the Grand Rapids Christian Middle School
District Board and pastor at Kentwood
Baptist Church, kicked off the formal
work of the strategic initiative task
forces on October 29 by introducing a
process to lift the work of each committee
in prayer. The initial
meeting began with devotions and personal
and small group prayer, and Tim requested
each task force begin its independent
work by being mindful of four prayer points:
- Inquire
of the Lord, seeking wisdom and insight
and direction;
- Request of Spirit-led discernment
in decision making;
- Seek cooperation and
unity of purpose;
- Acknowledge God through
praise with expectation of realizing
God’s
blessings on the process.
An exciting opportunity to further lift
the strategic work in prayer has already
been offered: Moms in Touch representatives
in each of our schools have offered to
pray for our strategic work as well, and
they will be included in an exchange of
prayer requests and items of praise throughout
the process.
God’s hand is seen in so many
ways! |
