POSITION TITLE: Kids Care Staff - Lead Teachers for 26–27 school year
BUILDING: Grand Rapids Christian Elementary School (GRCES) - Evergreen and Iroquois Campuses
SCHEDULE: Part-time school-year, hourly position
REPORTS TO: Early Learning Center Program Administrator (Evergreen Campus), Preschool Program Administrator (Iroquois Campus)
COORDINATES WITH: Kids Care Coordinator (Evergreen Campus), Preschool Administrative Assistant (Iroquois Campus)
POSITION SUMMARY
Both the Evergreen and Iroquois Campuses of GRCES are seeking new Lead Teachers in our Kids Care Program. Kids Care is a licensed child care program at Grand Rapids Christian Elementary that provides quality before and after-school care for our families during the school year. Applicants must meet licensing requirements and possess a deep commitment to Christian education.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide a safe environment and active supervision for students by following all licensing guidelines
-
Plan, prepare, deliver, and participate in games, crafts, and activities with children
-
Manage attendance
-
Clean and organize the daily learning spaces
-
Communicate with parents
-
Coordinate with Kids Care team members
REQUIREMENTS
-
High school graduate (or GED) and at least 19 years of age
-
Experience working with children
-
Preferred to have or is working toward a degree in a child-related field, or have an Early Childhood Credential
-
CPR/First Aid Certified, can be completed after employment

Complete and pass the state-required background check
-
Complete required, on-going trainings, if offered the position

Be able to sit on the floor with children and move around for long periods of time
