POSITION TITLE: K–4 Spanish Teacher
BUILDING: GRCES Iroquois
CONTRACT: Part-time .62 FTE (MWF, Shared Time)
REPORTS TO: Building Principal
COORDINATES WITH: Grade Level Instructional Staff, District Spanish Professional Learning Team
POSITION SUMMARY
Grand Rapids Christian seeks a part-time Spanish teacher. Applicants must reflect a Christian worldview in their teaching, be comfortable with K–4 instruction, be fluent in Spanish, and hold a valid State of Michigan teaching certification in Elementary Education and/or Middle School Spanish.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide excellent Christian teaching
- Implement K–4 curriculum
- Demonstrate effective classroom management
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with students, families, and colleagues
- Establish ongoing communications between colleagues and members of the school community
QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge, understanding, and commitment to a reformed Christian educational worldview
- Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with Spanish endorsement
- Fluency in the Spanish language
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
