SCHEDULE: 10 Weeks
REPORTS TO: Building Principal
COORDINATES WITH: Spanish Immersion Instructional Staff, Grade Level Instructional Staff
POSITION SUMMARY
Grand Rapids Christian Schools seeks applicants for a Long-Term Substitute Spanish Immersion 4th-grade teacher for the first 10 weeks of the 2026–2027 school year. Applicants must reflect a Christian worldview in their teaching, be familiar with immersion program instruction, and be fluent in Spanish-speaking.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide excellent Christian teaching
- Demonstrate effective classroom management
- Nurture faith within a community setting
- Develop strong relationships with students and parents
- Develop and implement Spanish Immersion instruction that:
- Integrates Christian faith with learning
- Uses best practices in elementary education
- Uses best practices specific to immersion instruction
QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge and understanding of elementary education practice
- Fluency in the Spanish language
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Committed relationship with Jesus Christ
