POSITION TITLE: 4th Grade Long-Term Substitute Spanish Immersion Teacher

BUILDING: GRCES Iroquois
SCHEDULE: 10 Weeks
REPORTS TO: Building Principal
COORDINATES WITH: Spanish Immersion Instructional Staff, Grade Level Instructional Staff
 

POSITION SUMMARY

Grand Rapids Christian Schools seeks applicants for a Long-Term Substitute Spanish Immersion 4th-grade teacher for the first 10 weeks of the 2026–2027 school year.  Applicants must reflect a Christian worldview in their teaching, be familiar with immersion program instruction, and be fluent in Spanish-speaking.


MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide excellent Christian teaching
  • Demonstrate effective classroom management
  • Nurture faith within a community setting
  • Develop strong relationships with students and parents
  • Develop and implement Spanish Immersion instruction that:
    • Integrates Christian faith with learning
    • Uses best practices in elementary education
    • Uses best practices specific to immersion instruction 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge and understanding of elementary education practice
  • Fluency in the Spanish language
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Committed relationship with Jesus Christ
