POSITION TITLE: GRCHS/GRCES Iroquois Food Service – Food Prep and Server
BUILDING: Grand Rapids Christian High School/Grand Rapids Christian Elementary School Iroquois
SCHEDULE: Monday & Thursday 9:00 a.m.–1:30 p.m., Tuesday 10:30 a.m.–1:30 p.m. during the school year
REPORTS TO: Director of Food Service
COORDINATES WITH: GRCES, GRCHS Kitchen Leads
POSITION SUMMARY
Under the supervision of the kitchen lead, this Food Service staff member will assist in preparing meals according to the school menu, serve meals to the students and staff, and assist in cleaning the serving areas and food prep areas.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide friendly, professional service to students, staff, and visitors
-
Assist in setting up and cleaning up of serving and food prep area
-
Help to maintain accurate production records of meal components served
-
Prepare food in a safe and sanitary manner, following all accepted health department regulations
-
Follow accepted practices to avoid cross contamination when preparing meals for customers with allergies, dietary restrictions, or special accommodations

Complete annual trainings as assigned
REQUIREMENTS

Able to lift and carry loads up to 40 pounds short distances
