GRCHS Technology Support Aide (10.25)

POSITION TITLE: Technology Support Aide

BUILDING: Grand Rapids Christian High School
CONTRACT: Part Time Position 
  • Up to 600 total hours between now through 8.28.2026
  • School days | Fridays from 7:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m. until 5.29.2026
  • Summer days | Up to 20 flexible hours per week until 8.28.2026
  • Position to be re-evaluated in Spring 2026
REPORTS TO: GRCS Executive Director of Technology
COORDINATES WITH: High School Help Desk Specialist, High School Learning Commons Aide, and District Technology Staff
 


POSITION SUMMARY

The Technology Support Aide manages the Grand Rapids Christian High School (GRCHS) Help Desk on Fridays, providing responsive technology service and support for staff and students, and supporting the repair of district technology devices. On non-school days, the Help Desk Support Specialist assists with district wide technology needs.
 


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide courteous tier 1 support for software, hardware, and audio visual issues
  • Manage the GRCHS help desk and escalate issues to district technology staff as needed on Fridays during the school year
  • Oversee the resources, activities, students, and student tech interns in the Learning Commons
  • Maintain up-to-date inventory records of hardware, software licenses, and accessories
  • Manage the high school copiers (supplies, malfunctions, and service calls)
  • Manage the warranty and repair process of district Apple hardware
  • Support district device lifecycle processes, including setup, deployment, maintenance, tracking, and collection of student and staff devices 
  • Assist district technology staff with projects at all GRC schools such as inventory audits, rostering, and documentation as needed
     


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Passion for working in Christian education with students and staff
  • Analytical and technology troubleshooting ability
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Preferred – Training and/or experience with Apple Operating Systems
  • Preferred – Help desk experience
