VEX Robotics Succeeds at State

The Grand Rapids Christian High School VEX Robotics teams have been building, programming, and competing since the beginning of the school year and have won numerous awards over the past few months. All teams finished in the top 40 out of 110 teams in the state for their Skills Challenges.

Team A — Owen Jeltema (12), Isaak Boes (10), & Rowan Zeyl (9) — advanced to the State Finals, finished 13th in the state in the Skills Challenges, and made it all the way to the semi-final competition, the furthest a GRCHS team has ever been!

Team B — Lucas Rhodes (11), Ellie Hoeksema (11), & Matt Hartemink (11) — finished their season ranking 39th in the state in the Skills Challenges.

Team C — Asher Zeyl (11) & Aaron Wildschut (1) — advanced to the State Finals, finished 21st in the state in the Skills Challenges, and competed in the elimination rounds. Team C also won the Design Award in every regional tournament in which they competed this season.

Congratulations Eaglebots!
