Dear GRCS Spanish Immersion Community:

Throughout the years, God has surprised me over and over in revealing His plans for my life. And He has always been faithful. I trust His plan.

Being part of the growth of Grand Rapids Christian Schools’ Spanish Immersion Program since its inception in 2010 has been an amazing honor. I am extremely proud of the preschool through high school program that exists today, and it has been exciting to witness firsthand the bilingual development of our students! So it is with mixed emotions that I move to the next stage of my work at Grand Rapids Christian.

As Mr. Burgess moves on to his new position as Head of Schools at Grandville Calvin Christian Schools in the fall, I look forward to serving Grand Rapids Christian Middle School students and families as Interim Principal. Over the past few years, I have earned a Masters in Educational Leadership and have been blessed to work with talented principals and mentors who have prepared me for this exciting endeavor.

The quality of the Spanish Immersion (SI) program is of utmost importance to our staff and administration. While I will continue to be involved in the SI program as we move forward, my ability to provide daily support will be limited. Rest assured, Grand Rapids Christian is dedicated to ensuring a strong preschool-12 SI program and will continue to invest in this important program and our students as we plan for the coming year.

I look forward to being a part of continuing to nurture the students in our Spanish Immersion program as we move ahead, and I eagerly anticipate serving our GRCMS students, parents, and staff as interim principal in the year to come.
