🍦 Evergreen Campus Back To School Ice Cream Social
Please join us on Wednesday, August 30 for Evergreen's first community event, a back-to-school ice cream social. We will gather on the Evergreen playground at 6:00 pm to be welcomed to the new school year by Principal Schultze. Enjoy some ice cream treats and each other's company. Midway through the evening, Kindergarten through 5th-grade parents will be welcomed into the building to peruse their children's classrooms for a casual time of information sharing and Q&A. The Evergreen PTO will be present with their event sign-ups, looking for volunteers for the upcoming school year. See you there!
🥗 School Lunches
Next week starts a "cold" (second) lunch option in addition to hot lunch. Please see the column to the right of the calendar on the Evergreen Lunch Menu for the "cold" lunch offerings.
You may access your student's lunch account as well as the application for free/reduced lunch benefits at grchristian.familyportal.cloud. When logging in for the first time you will need your students' ID or account number. Please contact the school office for this information. There is no fee to deposit money into your child’s lunch account at grchristian.familyportal.cloud but you may also bring cash or a check to the office for deposit.
Free and Reduced Lunch pricing needs to be applied for each school year. Please make sure you apply/reapply before October 1 to keep this benefit.
Covid and General Health Awareness
PLEASE keep the school office informed of any symptoms, illnesses, and test results that prevent your student from attending school. All absences need to be reported to the school office (ev-attendance@grcs.org, 616.574.5990)
Thank you for keeping your kids home when they are sick. Children who have two or more cold-like symptoms, any child with a fever, and any child who vomits or has diarrhea should remain out of school for 24 hours after symptoms subside and without the use of medication.
Current covid protocols, should your student test positive, are to stay home and isolate for five (5) days and then resume activities in a well-fitted mask for five (5) days.
Please refer to our Parent-Sudent Handbook for more health guidelines.
