Evergreen Past, Present, & Future

You’re invited to join us Monday, December 13 from 6:30 pm — 7:15 pm for a conversation about Evergreen’s past, present, and future! We’re excited to highlight our campus’ rich history of honoring student curiosity. Alongside that, we will discuss plans to further our commitment to inquiry learning through new programming opportunities and integrated enrichment weeks. Please sign up HERE so we know how many people to expect.

Hour of Code

This week is the annual Hour of Code! Hour of Code is an initiative to get 10's of millions of students, in 180+ other countries, in 45+ languages to do an hour of coding/programming! All of our K-5 students and teachers will participate in 1 hour of coding on iPads in their classrooms at some point this week. Coding teaches the kids to use computational logic that is becoming more and more important in every part of our society! For more information, visit code.org or the Hour of Code links on each Team's page on our EVTech website. Feel free to reach out to Mrs. Bolt with any questions (jbolt@grcs.org)

GRPS Busing Update

There will be no GRPS busing on Friday, December 10. If your student rides a GRPS bus please make an alternate arrangement for their ride home this day.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED - Wednesday, December 15

The holidays represent a special time of year all around so what better time to show a little appreciation for the Evergreen teachers and staff.  On Wednesday, December 15 from 11:45 am — 12:45 pm the Evergreen PTO will provide a special Christmas lunch.  This requires parent volunteers to cover the classroom and recess duty during this time.

Please help celebrate our Evergreen staff by assisting with classroom and recess coverage while the team enjoys a Christmas Celebration Luncheon together on Wednesday, December 15.  You will need to arrive by 11:30 am and can depart after 12:45 pm.  All classroom coverage volunteers must have an approved background check on file by Monday, December 13.  Please sign-up for a slot (2 parents for each classroom are required) using this SignUp Genius link. And complete the background check by clicking this link.

Save the Date! Tuesday, February 15th — Evergreen Music Program

John 13: 34-35 reminds us to Love One Another.  Our theme verse for this year brings us closer to one another, grounds us in love, and gives us hope for our future in our Lord Jesus Christ.  This year the Evergreen kindergarten through fifth-grade students will present a variety of music all reminding us of our commandment to love one another.  Our students are excited to showcase their talents while presenting the truth of the gospel.  Please join us for our performance at the DeVos Center for Arts and Worship at the High School on February 15th at 7:00 pm.

COVID Awareness

  • Students should stay home from school if anyone in their household is waiting on COVID test results.
  • PLEASE keep the school office informed of absences, symptoms, and test results.
  • Thank you for keeping your kids home when they have cold-like symptoms!
