📅 Calendar Reminders 

Monday, January 16 is MLK Jr. day and it will be a half day of school. Full-day Evergreen campus students will dismiss at 12:00 pm. There will be no GRPS busing on Monday, January 16. GRCS buses will run as scheduled. Aftercare is not offered on half days.

No GRPS Busing Dates 🚌

Please note that GRPS buses will NOT run on the following dates:

• Monday, January 16
• Monday, March 13

Band & Orchestra Informance

Parents of 5th graders, save the date of Monday, January 30 for a band and orchestra informance. More information will come home in your Team 3 newsletter.

2023-24 District Calendar

The GRCS Board has approved the 2023-24 district calendar. It is posted on the website and is linked here for your convenience. Please refer to it as you plan for next school year.

Please Report All Absences and Late Arrivals to the Office

• Please ALWAYS notify the office about late arrivals and absences, even if you also notify the teachers.
• Please specify the illness rather than just saying a child is 'sick'.
• Emailing notices is quick and easy at EV-Attendance@grcs.org. Or call the attendance line at 616.574.5990 and leave a voicemail. Both options are accessible 24/7.

Claim your student's missing items from the Lost and Found (located in the front hall at Evergreen).

Recess Volunteers

The K-5 lunch recess volunteer schedule from January through March is available and awaiting your sign up!  All volunteers to the GRCES Evergreen campus must pass a background check before they may volunteer. Please fill out the following google form with all the pertinent information at least one week before you plan to volunteer. Volunteer clearances are considered good for one year. You will only be contacted if your background check does not clear. Volunteer Clearance Form

Covid and General Health Awareness 

• PLEASE keep the school office informed of any symptoms, illnesses, and test results that prevent your student from attending school. All absences need to be reported to the school office (ev-attendance@grcs.org, 616.574.5990)
• Thank you for keeping your kids home when they are sick. Children who have two or more cold-like symptoms, any child with a fever, and any child who vomits or has diarrhea should remain out of school for 24 hours after symptoms subside and without the use of medication.
• Current covid protocols, should your student test positive, are to stay home and isolate for five (5) days and then resume activities in a well-fitted mask for five (5) days.
