Football Fun in PE Class

We were excited to welcome football coaches and players from Grand Rapids Christian High School to our PE classes yesterday! Our students were able to run through fun football drills, hear from the coaches and watch a highlight video. We also wanted to let Evergreen families know that the Eagle football team will be hosting short winter flag football leagues for students in elementary school and middle school - please see the flier coming home today for more information.

Report Cards

First semester report cards for K-5th grade students were posted to your ParentVUE account last week. If you would like a printed copy of your student's report card you may contact the school office.  Please review this letter about how to read your student's report card.

Preschool and Kindergarten Open Houses 

The Evergreen Preschool and Kindergarten open house is happening this week Thursday. Be sure to register if you have questions about these options for 2023-24 school year. Band & Orchestra Informance

Parents of 5th graders, save the date of Monday, January 30 for a band and orchestra informance. More information will come home in your Team 3 newsletter.

Recess Volunteers

The K-5 lunch recess volunteer schedule from January through March is available and awaiting your sign up!  All volunteers to the GRCES Evergreen campus must pass a background check before they may volunteer. Please fill out the following google form with all the pertinent information at least one week before you plan to volunteer. Volunteer clearances are considered good for one year. You will only be contacted if your background check does not clear. Volunteer Clearance Form

Covid and General Health Awareness 

• PLEASE keep the school office informed of any symptoms, illnesses, and test results that prevent your student from attending school. All absences need to be reported to the school office (ev-attendance@grcs.org, 616.574.5990)
• Thank you for keeping your kids home when they are sick. Children who have two or more cold-like symptoms, any child with a fever, and any child who vomits or has diarrhea should remain out of school for 24 hours after symptoms subside and without the use of medication.
• Current covid protocols, should your student test positive, are to stay home and isolate for five (5) days and then resume activities in a well-fitted mask for five (5) days.
