Grandfriends Day this Friday!
GRCS is excited to welcome grandfriends to our campuses on Friday, October 14. Evergreen K–5th student's grandfriends are invited to visit from 8:30 am–10:00 am. Classroom visiting will take place for the first hour followed by a program and refreshments.
Evergreen preschool classrooms will host grandfriends on Thursday, October 13 and Friday, October 14 in accordance with your student's attendance schedule. More details about your specific preschool classroom's visiting times will come out in classroom newsletters.
No School
Please remember that we will not have school Wednesday, October 19 – Friday, October 21. Teachers will be attending professional development during these days. School will resume on Monday, October 24.
No GRPS Busing
Please remember there will be no Public School busing available on Monday, October 24, or Tuesday, November 8. Please make alternate arrangements for your transportation needs these days. GRCS buses will run as scheduled.
Parent Teacher Conferences
Evergreen will have parent-teacher conferences on Tuesday, October 25, and Thursday, October 27 between 3:30 pm - 8:00 pm both days. Conferences will be in person on the Evergreen campus and run for 15 minutes for K-5th grades and 10 minutes for Preschool students. A Sign Up Genius link for your student's parent teacher conferences will be in the classroom newsletter later this week. If you are unable to accommodate an in person conference please still sign up for a conference time and then contact your teacher by email so they can send a zoom link for your conference.

Covid and General Health Awareness
- PLEASE keep the school office informed of any symptoms, illnesses, and test results that prevent your student from attending school. All absences need to be reported to the school office (ev-attendance@grcs.org, 616.574.5990)
- Thank you for keeping your kids home when they are sick. Children who have two or more cold-like symptoms, any child with a fever, and any child who vomits or has diarrhea should remain out of school for 24 hours after symptoms subside and without the use of medication.
- Current covid protocols, should your student test positive, are to stay home and isolate for five (5) days and then resume activities in a well-fitted mask for five (5) days.
