Community Chapel this Friday with Julian Newman

Julian Newman will join the Evergreen community during chapel on Friday, October 15. Julian is the founder and CEO of Culture Creative and has been a vitally important support and friend to Grand Rapids Christian students and staff over the past few years. We're excited to welcome him to chapel to help explore students' questions about race.

Parent-Teacher Conferences

GRCES Evergreen Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held on October 26 and November 1 & 4. Parents will have the option to sign up for conferences In Person or via Zoom. You must specify when which option you would like in the comment box when you sign up. Sign Ups for each class will be published in teacher blogs later this week and in next week's home bulletin.

Scholastic Book Fair

Exciting news from the Evergreen Library:  After a hiatus last year due to Covid, an in-person Scholastic Book Fair is returning!  Mark your calendars for Tuesday, October 26 through Tuesday, November 2.  Come and visit the Fair before or after school or during parent/teacher conferences to buy some great new books, donate books for your child’s classroom,  or do some early Christmas shopping.  Our goal is $1,200 in sales.  This ensures that our small school can keep having a physical fair and, more importantly, earns us 50% profit toward new books for our library.  See you in the EV Commons for a great Book Fair!

Thank you for making Foot Frolic Frenzy a success!

While we couldn't invite families to join the fun inside, we had fun speeding our way around the gym. It's not too late to give! If you didn't have a chance, you can still share the link and donate at www.grcs.org/frenzy.

COVID Awareness

  • Students should stay home from school if anyone in their household is waiting on COVID test results.
  • PLEASE keep the school office informed of absences, symptoms, and test results.
  • Thank you for keeping your kids home when they have cold-like symptoms!
