The Evergreen Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) organizes events throughout the year for our Evergreen students, staff, and community (see back for event calendar).  The PTO also facilitates communication between parents/guardians, community members, and Grand Rapids Christian School (GRCS) staff. 

The GRCS Elementary PTO represented by both Iroquois and Evergreen members holds one major fundraiser each year, the Eagle Dash (formally Foot Frolic Frenzy). This year it will be on September 29, 2023. The funds raised accommodate such things as field trips, classroom supplies, library books, and special gifts to both campuses. As an example, from previous school years, the PTO paid for Evergreen’s STEAM in-school field trip during which we also welcomed students for Mulick Park Elementary, added new features on the Evergreen playground, and gifted every classroom at Evergreen and Iroquois with a collection of books that featured minority main characters.

PTO is a great way to get involved in your child’s school journey, connect with other Evergreen families, and enhance learning for all GRCS Elementary students.

• The Evergreen PTO welcomes new members for the 2023-2024 school year.  The time commitment is small and the rewards are huge!  There are 3 Evergreen PTO meetings and 2 opportunities to meet with the larger GRCS Elementary PTO during the school year.  Please consider joining the PTO this year or if you are interested in helping with an individual event, please contact the PTO chair Holly Gibson, (hollygibsonmd@gmail.com). Or stop at the PTO table during the Back To School Ice Cream Social on August 29.
