Dear Class of 2020 Parents/Guardians,
 
We are eager to share with you some exciting changes to our senior retreat! In the past, we have held the retreat during a school day in October, and we didn’t have the opportunity to truly “retreat” with our seniors.  

This fall, we are asking that all members of our class of 2020 attend our overnight retreat on August 17 at Grace Adventures! Holding the retreat just before school starts allows us to kick off the year with our seniors and empower them to lead in a way that impacts our school. We will share our theme verse, worship together, strengthen our relationships with each other and with the Lord, and have lots of fun!  

Grace Adventures has a perfect facility for the retreat.  Available activities include swimming, tubing, laser tag, archery, zip lining, campfires, and much more!

RETREAT DETAILS

Where: Grace Adventures (2100 North Ridge Road Mears, MI 49436)
Dates: August 17 – 18 (meet at GRCHS at 1:00 p.m., arrive back at GRCHS around 5:00 p.m.)
Transportation: Bussing from GRCHS
Cost: $75.00 per student

The fee will cover all the expenses associated with the weekend (transportation, meals, lodging, and recreation.  It’s very important that every senior participates in the retreat and we don’t want the financial commitment to discourage anyone.  Please contact Mr. Taylor if you need financial assistance.  When submitting your permission slip, please indicate if you’re willing to donate to support students in need of financial assistance. 
 
To ensure a safe and fulfilling retreat experience for all students, GRCHS will provide chaperones and faculty supervision during our stay.  Boys and girls will be housed in separate cabins on campus and adults will be present at all times.  Meals will be provided by Grace Adventures, so we will need to know if your child has any allergies or medical needs.
 
Permission forms were given to juniors students and are due to the main office with payment ASAP!  Packing lists will be sent out later this summer.
