Final Home Bulletin for School Year!

Parents, normally our final home bulletin would contain complete details on the end of year events like laptop and textbook returns, as well as summer and 2020—21 school year updates. We appreciate your patience as we work through those details. Although this is our last home bulletin of the school year, we will continue to communicate with you via email over the coming weeks. We are so thankful for our GRCHS community and your support and flexibility!

Winterim 2021

Plans for Winterim 2021 are already underway! Students have signed up for trips, intern hosts are already being contacted, and we've started to build the course catalog. If you have ever considered being involved in GRCHS Winterim, perhaps this is the year! We are looking for Guest Instructors to share their gifts and talents with students this January.

Winterim at GRCHS engages students in a two-week amplified learning experience that unveils their unique passions and abilities, preparing them to be effective servants of Christ in contemporary society.

If you (or someone you know) are interested in teaching a two-week course next January as a paid Guest Instructor, please contact Brian Karsten for more information.

And if you would like information on hosting a student intern during Winterim 2021, please contact Rebecca Polet.

From the Athletic Department

Grand Rapids Christian Athletics continues to adhere to the Governor's guidelines. We hold out hope for summer training and practices and that we will be able to reunite at school in the fall and be able to participate in athletics as well. We are not canceling any summer plans until we know we won't be allowed to have them. We will wait for the Governor and the MHSAA to issue continued guidance on when the Eagles can start up again.

Boys Soccer Coaches Needed!

GR Christian HS Boys Soccer is seeking two more coaches for the Boys Soccer coaching staff. Please apply directly to Varsity Head Coach Aric Dershem at coachdersh@gmail.com.

Sports Physicals

Current 8th-11th graders planning to play sports at Grand Rapids Christian High School in 2020-21 school year need to have an MHSAA physical form on file with the high school athletic office before they are allowed to participate. A valid physical for 2020-21 must be completed any time after April 15, 2020. You may turn in the completed physical to the GRCHS athletic office by mail or email (to cgroendyk@grcs.org) as soon as you finish it, even if it is before the end of this school year or during the summer. You may print out a physical form here.

This form must be completed with all signatures in order to participate in sports at GRCHS. You may attach your doctor’s office physical form for the doctor portion of this form but the parent portion and all signatures need to be completed on this form.
