Technology Sale | May 30

The GRCS technology sale is on Friday, May 30 from 11:00 am–1:30 pm outside the Quest Center at Grand Rapids Christian High School (2300 Plymouth - Door 1). Items being sold include Macbook Airs, iPads, and projectors.

Second Semester Exams

Second-semester 9-11th grade exams are Tuesday—Friday, May 27-30. Two exams are scheduled each day.

• The first exam begins at 8:30 a.m. and ends at 10:00 a.m. Students should arrive by 8:20 a.m. to ensure they are in their seats ready to begin at 8:30 a.m.
• The second exam begins at 10:15 a.m. and ends at 11:45 a.m.

Students are only required to be present for the exams they have scheduled (e.g. if a student has a first-period class and a second-period study hall, the student may leave for the day at 10:00 a.m.) Students who remain in the building during one of these free periods must be studying in upper town square.

Buses will run on their normal morning schedules and will depart from GRCHS following the second exam.

Final Grades will be posted on ParentVue/StudentVue on the evening of June 5th.

Laptop Turn In

The week of exams is also Laptop Turn-In week. Please help remind your student(s) to check that they have all their items and have followed all turn-in instructions. Consult the information below:

Laptop Return Schedule:

• Dates: Tuesday, May 27 - Friday, May 30
• When: 8:00 a.m.–12:30 p.m.
• Where: GRCHS Learning Commons

Late Turn-Ins: Any laptop turned in after May 30 will be assessed a $5/weekday late fee to be paid at the time of turn-in.
Students should check their email for detailed instructions from Mrs. Hurtman about laptop turn-in. Students taking a summer session at GRCHS will hold onto their school laptop until the last day of the session. If you have questions, feel free to stop by the Help Desk or send an email to rhurtman@grcs.org.

Lost and Found

Students should remove all items from their lockers after their last exam this week. Check the lost and found for any missing items! All unclaimed items will be donated after May 30.

Our 6th-12th grade team is in its third year of riding and racing! New this year is a PreK-5th grade team! If your child is interested in riding this summer or racing in the fall race series, check out the details below!

2025-2026 Enrollment

Because GRCS utilizes Continuous Enrollment, the agreement you completed when your student/s first enrolled remains in effect through high school graduation. It is not necessary to complete a new agreement each year. This applies to all current preschool through 11th grade students. 

If your child will not be returning for the 2025-2026 school year, or if you are unsure of your plans, please contact your campus Admissions Director for next steps.

Hosting with Grand Rapids Christian Schools: Extending Hospitality Across Cultures

We are expecting about 45 international students at GRCS next year! We still need host families for 3 young men (from Christian families in China). Additionally, we have a 9th grade boy and a 10th grade girl from New Zealand who- if we have a host family- would like to come for the first 8-10 weeks of the year. These young people are excited about their time at GRCS and getting to live with and experience American family life. Perhaps you may be (or know) one of these future host families! Hosting comes with a lot of support and a generous monthly stipend (or tuition remission). We are pleased to introduce you to SCOIR, a service designed especially for students and families. SCOIR is a comprehensive website you and your child can use to help plan colleges and careers. SCOIR allows you to plan post-high school years, research careers and colleges, request transcripts/teacher recommendations, and track college applications.
