Hoco Dance

All high schoolers are welcome to attend the Homecoming Dance. Since we have a 600-person limit, non-GRC guests will be reserved for upperclassmen only (see Ms. Das in the Student Life Office for a guest form). Tickets will go on sale next week in Town Square and will be $20 per ticket. Payment is accepted via cash, CashApp, Apple Pay or a card.

Quest Center doors open at 8 pm. To ensure a safe and fun environment, students will be breathalyzed upon entry, as they will be for every following dance. There is no reentry, and doors close at 9:45 pm. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the United Methodist Community House (UMCH) to support older adults in our community. We are happy to continue our partnership with UMCH and develop intergenerational connections throughout the year.

Homecoming Football Game -

There will be NO RE-ENTRY to the stadium after the game begins. If you leave the game after it starts, you may not re-enter the game again. Please plan accordingly. Student theme is Grade By Color. You must still dress within GRCHS dress code guidelines or you will be asked to change. Freshmen wear pink or red, sophomores wear orange or yellow, Juniors wear green, Seniors wear Blue. Remember we will provide washable paint in the grass area at 6:40p (dont bring your own), and the tunnel is at 6:50p. Relay Race at halftime! Lets have fun and be loud! Go Eagles!

Homecoming Preparty:

Due to limited sign-ups, the Homecoming Preparty will be canceled. We will offer it again next year incase others are interested.

Spirit Week

Here is a description of the Spirit Week days and Focus Time activities. We encourage you to wear what you have in your closet or shop at New2You’s Spirit Week section.

Winterim 2025: College Visit Experience

The College Visit Experience allows Seniors, Juniors, and sophomores (with counselor approval) to use their Winterim semester to visit colleges, do college research, and reflect on their experience in the first two weeks of January. It's an awesome opportunity for those that have a tough time scheduling these visits throughout the semester. Come learn about this Winterim offering from Mr. B. Karsten on Thursday, Oct 10 during Focus Period.

Critical Conversations Club

Are you interested in talking about various topics related to faith, culture, and current events in a respectful and charitable atmosphere? Come to Room 110 during Focus Time on Fridays to be a part of the conversation!

Dunk a GRCHS staff member!

Don’t miss out on this fun opportunity! Please join us for a DUNK TANK FUNDRAISER before the homecoming football game where you have a chance to dunk people like ET and Mr. Mockabee.

When:  October 11 - Homecoming Football Game
Where: Eagles Stadium

Seniors!

All senior pictures for the yearbook must be submitted through this form by Monday, December 2. Senior pictures are not required, but are a nice way to honor the class of 2025. Please pay attention to the photo guidelines on the form for your photo to be printed nicely in the Yearbook and displayed at graduation.

Be Still & Unwind -

Want a break from your busy week?  Join Be Still & Unwind every B-day Friday Focus Time in the cheer room.  We will de-stress with breath work, mindfulness, and stretching. Sign up for total relaxation!

Washington State Sea-to-Summit Trip (July 2025)

Interested in exploring the Pacific Northwest by hiking, kayaking, camping, and eating at delicious local restaurants? Register for the trip HERE by October 15! Contact Mr. Van Harn with questions!

Capturing Winterim Interns Needed

Each year a group of 3-5 students spend their Winterim semester (instead of travel or taking classes) filming and photographing Winterim courses with the aim of creating social media posts and a Winterim celebration video. If you are interested in video production or photography, and would like to be a part of the Capturing Winterim crew this January, email Mr. Karsten for more information.

Do you need volunteer hours?

Would you like to help support a cool nonprofit organization? Upcycle Bikes collects and refurbishes used adult bikes so as to provide an affordable mode of transportation for those with financial hardships. On Saturday October 12th from 9am-noon, Upcycle Bikes will be hosting a bike collection drive at its shop downtown. You could get involved by volunteering at the event and by helping to acquire used adult bikes. For more information, please email ride@upcyclebikes.org or reach out to Junior Kate Wittung at 26wittungka@grchristian.org
