Next week Weds will be an asynchronous learning day - that means your teachers will assign work for you to do at home but there will be no live zoom classes.

- AP Interest Meetings continue this week. If you are interested in or planning on taking one of these AP classes next year, you must attend the meeting. Please sign-up on Focus.

Thursday: orange chicken, Kung Pao, fried rice, veggies, egg roll, pineapple, fortune cookie
Friday: Fredo Friday
Students: you can get a free breakfast everyday.
Choices include: smoothie, Big Apple bagel, yogurt parfait, PopTarts or a warm breakfast sandwich. Stop by the servery between 7:30-8:30 for your free breakfast!
Activities & Clubs
Fundraiser for Kakuma Refugee Camp 💰
GRCHS is raising money for the library in the Kakuma Refugee Camp in northwest Kenya. Bring money to your 3rd-hour class starting next Monday, March 8 through March 15 to help us reach our school-wide goal. Every class that raises the most money in their department will earn donuts. The class that raises the most money overall will earn a pizza party!
Auditions for Ranked The Musical 🎵
The Stage Company of Grand Rapids Christian High School is proud to offer a Spring Musical this year. GR Christian has been selected to have the Michigan Premier of this new Musical.
Vocal Auditions – March 15,16,17 during Lunch in the Studio (Must select time slot)
Must have piano music available – 32 bars of audition music.
Character and Reading Auditions – March 15 and 16 3 PM in the Studio

If you are interested in taking Sports Performance next year please fill out this application to be considered for this class.
Spanish Immersion Freshmen
You will be taking the ACTFL Assessment of Performance toward Proficiency in Languages® (AAPPL) on Wednesday, March 17. The purpose of this test is to "assess the ability of a candidate to engage in linguistic tasks on topics of personal, social, and academic relevance across the three modes of communication. Each task, such as writing an email message, video-chatting in the target language, or making selections from something heard or read, takes place in the context of the language classroom." If you have any questions about this assessment, please reach out to Sra. Rodríguez. More information to come soon in your SI class.

Athletics
Track & Field 🏃🏽♀️
1) Be sure to take advantage of conditioning opportunities for track & field. Sprinters & field events run Monday & Thursdays @ 3:00 in the Quest and lift on Tuesday & Friday at 3:00. Vaulters meet 7:30-9 on Tuesday night in the All city gym. Throwers meet 7-8 on Thursday nights in the AC lobby.
2) All track & field athletes - watch for announcements coming on practice starting and uniform distribution.
