If you didn't pick up your student ID at lunch yesterday, stop in the office today to get it!

If you just had photo retakes this week, your ID will be coming soon.  Keep watching announcements for info.

The coffee shop is open M-W-F 7:45 - 8:30am and T-TH 7:15 - 7:55am and during morning break.

Breakfast and lunches are FREE for students! The Big Apple Bagels are back as well!

E-Sports

Esports are back! If you are interested in competitive gaming or want a chance to play against other schools, Eagles Esports is the place for you. We will have Rocket League and Super Smash Brothers Ultimate teams competing this year. If you are interested, please sign up for our focus time on Monday, September 20th or email 22kreismanjo@grchristian.org with questions. 

Adventure Club Group Ride

Come join us for the last bike ride of the year! Mountain bike, road bike, or something in between, this ride will be a fun one for anyone with a bike! Meet us in Townsend Park (directions to parking) at 10:00 a.m. this Saturday! All skill levels welcome! Contact Mr. Van Harn with questions!

Yearbook

Attention all clubs, please contact Mary Fradette (22fradettema@grchristian.org) to place the club in the yearbook. Contact her with an available time to take a group photo of the club, submit any photos of the club to her as well. 

Winterim 2022 at Cornerstone

For Winterim, Cornerstone University offers GRCHS students the opportunity to take their J-Term classes for college credit. These credits are equal to semester-long courses, and are transferable to whatever university you decide to attend. It is an amazing opportunity to save time and money while experiencing college-level instruction. Students (10th-12th grade) interested in learning about Dual Enrollment options for Winterim 2022 should email Mr. Karsten (bkarsten@grcs.org) this week for more details. 

Winterim Internship Focus Times

Are you considering an internship for Winterim? Do you have questions about the process or what you should currently be doing to prepare? Mrs. Polet is holding interest meetings during focus time Monday, September 20. Please sign up and feel free to email Mrs. Polet with any questions.

Are you in 10-12th grade and interested in traveling for Winterim 2022?

If so, we would love for you to consider traveling with us to Italy. If you have interest or want to hear about the itinerary, please email Mrs. Watson at jwatson@grcs.org.

See You at the Pole

See you at the pole is a national event on September 22 during which high school students from all around the country meet around the flagpole to pray for their schools. We will meet outside the Quest Center by the flagpole at 8:10. There will be doughnuts first come first serve.

Tailgate Friday!

Today before the football game, join Global Ambassadors and Hospitality & Inclusion for a fun tailgate event! There will be games, snacks, candy, and new friends! Meet on the sidewalk near the Central Office at 6:30. Contact Mrs. Watson at jwatson@grcs.org if you have questions. See you there!

Peer Listeners

Peer Listeners are a group of about twelve juniors and seniors who are committed to serving the GRCHS student body through listening confidentially to students seeking this important support. We are looking for juniors to join us! If you are a junior who is interested in listening to your peers, and have skills in listening to others and being a trustworthy peer, consider applying! Applications are due on Monday, September 20. Please pick up your applications from the front office or from Mr. Padilla, and return them to the front office by Monday, September 20. Improv Auditions next Wednesday! 😎

Come try out to join GRCHS' own improv team! Auditions will be held in the garage next week Wednesday, September 22nd (with callbacks on Thursday) from 5:30 to 8:30 in the Garage.

Sibling/Family Pictures

September 20th-24th, yearbook staff members are taking photos of students and teachers at Grand Rapids Christian High School who are legally related to each other (this includes host families). Pictures will be taken in the Quest Courtyard, which can be accessed through the World Language Commons. Pictures will be taken during lunch. Props are not allowed. We will choose about 30 of the photos to be included in the yearbook; preference will be given to seniors.

Sign Up for Crew — Beauty and The Beast

Are you interested in being part of a crew for Beauty and the Beast? The first day will be Sept 20 after school until 5pm. Fill out this form to sign up to work on crew.

Student Custodial Workers at Grand Rapids Christian Schools (Monday-Friday, after school)

Grand Rapids Christian Schools seeks applicants to assist during the school year with cleaning after school hours.

Applicants should complete the online application form for support staff on the GRCS website. Applicants should also send a letter of interest, faith statement, and letters of reference to Jeremy Pyper (jpyper@grcs.org), Head Custodian, at Grand Rapids Christian High School. Application deadline: September 17, 2021.

Gilda's Club Drive

Small Group 204 will be having a Wish List Drive for Gilda's Club Grand Rapids. It will start today and end on  September 30. Gilda's Club provides a free emotional health support community where children, adults, families, and friends can find their smile in the midst of a cancer or grief journey.

Items they are essential to the clubhouse operating in person include : kids watercolors, glue sticks, snack size zip lock bags, paper towels, 13-gallon kitchen bags, disposable masks and gloves, sanitizing wipes, hand sanitizer, postage stamps, Gift Cards- Meijer, Family Fare, Sam's Club, Costco, Aldi, Gordon food service, etc. If you prefer to give cash we will collect money and purchase a gift card at the end of the month.
