Homecoming

We know that homecoming week is quickly approaching, and there are many questions about what homecoming will look like this year. We know that we cannot hold a dance and attend the Friday night football game like we usually do, but we do have some fun activities and events planned for the week of homecoming, September 28 - October 2. Here is a list of some of the fun activities we have planned! We will share more details soon.

  • Spirit Week
  • Daily Focus Time Homecoming Activities
  • Senior Homecoming Court
  • Hallway decorations
  • Grade level competitions throughout the week at school

Seniors

Please pick up a form in the office to nominate your fellow classmates to the 2020 homecoming court. Only Seniors may make nominations of other senior students. Completed forms are due today, September 17.

Mix-It-Up-Lunch is today!

Student Council and Global Ambassadors are leading a new lunch opportunity this week for all students. As representatives of the student body, we want to make sure our school feels like home for all students, so let's get to know each other and make sure we welcome new students. Please read these important details.

Everything will take place today. It is still a chapel day so you will still have your normal Lunch A or B. The only difference is that all students will eat lunch on the North Lawn (grassy area between Plymouth to Shawnee church). Click the link below to see what group you are assigned to. After you get your lunch, make sure to head out to the North Lawn right away to find your group.

Don't forget to social distance, clean up your space, and meet someone new! We will see you all there!

If you do not see your name on the spreadsheet, please email Mr. DeKoster (ndekoster@grcs.org).

Yearbook

  • We are going to be taking pictures for sibling's pictures in the yearbook on Tuesday, September 22 during both lunch A and B. If students are interested they can meet us outside of the front entrance/office. We will be taking the pictures outside.
  • Is your club meeting this semester? If your club is functioning during covid and you wish to be featured in the yearbook, have club leaders contact Mary Fradette for more information at 22fradettema@grchristian.org.

Girls Bible Study

Hey ladies! Are you looking for the perfect Focus Time to spice up your Mondays, meet new friends, and enjoy God’s Word with laughter and fun? Come attend Girls’ Bible Study any Monday during Focus B (Lunch A) in room 210! All are welcome—bring a friend!

Peer Listeners

The Peer Listeners are a group of juniors and seniors who are available at school to listen, welcome, and help students who might need it. We are once again looking for juniors to join our team. If you have a heart for serving your peers and you would like to be part of this group, we would love to hear from you. Please pick up an application from the front office, Mrs. Hoving or Mr. Padilla. Return completed applications and recommendations to the front office by Monday, September 21. Please See Mr. Padilla or Mrs. Hoving if you have any questions.
