GRCHS Morning Announcements Winterim 2022 Week 2

School Business

Details from the Dean

Welcome Back, Students! We are so glad to have you back in the building. As we start Winterim, be mindful of upcoming announcements from the Dean. First, I want to remind you that we have a closed campus. Students may not leave the building without parent permission and signing out in the office. This means that students may not leave campus for lunch. Students should also not prop exterior doors. If students leave campus or prop doors without permission it will result in detentions and loss of school privileges. Please be mindful of this important policy. We want to make sure that we know where you are during the school day and that you are safe. Have a great Winterim!

Winterim 2022

Winterim runs from January 3-14. It's an exciting two weeks of new courses, internships, travel, and more! When it comes to on-campus courses, we will have a late start each day.

Morning classes will run from 8:20-11:20

Afternoon classes will run from 11:50-2:50

During Winterim we not only have many guests coming to our building (as instructors and speakers), but many students head out into the community (both Grand Rapids and beyond) as part of their semester. These experiences offer us an amazing opportunity to demonstrate our work towards being "Thoughtful Neighbors," and allow us the chance to practice hospitality, compassion, service, and empathy for those around us.

Class assignments are posted around Town Square and your teachers may have emailed you some first-day reminders. If you have any questions about Winterim 2022, please don't hesitate to email Mr. Karsten (bkarsten@grcs.org).
