Classroom Connect

On Thursday, September 9, the middle school will be hosting our annual Classroom Connect. This evening is an opportunity for parents and Christian educators to gather, build community, and strengthen the partnership that we’ve already begun. There will be two sessions in which homeroom teachers will share a 30-minute overview of the curriculum at each grade level and will talk about the culture, expectations, and routines that they are building with your students. We will begin our evening all together in Village Square at 6:30 pm.

*Please note that co-curricular teachers (art, language, PE, music) will not be attending this event. If you would like to reach one of your child’s co-curricular teachers, please feel free to give them a call or send them an email.

Here is a quick look at the schedule for the night:

  • 6:30 pm — 6:45 pm | Welcome and overview of the evening in Village Square (Sara Seth)
  • 6:50 pm — 7:20 pm | First Session (Homeroom teachers)
  • 7:25 pm — 7:55 pm | Second Session (Homeroom teachers)

Extra masks!

If your student is wearing a mask, please ensure they have one on when entering the school building. It would also be helpful to pack a couple extra in backpacks. Thank you for your help!

Covid Awareness

  • Students should stay home from school if anyone in their household is waiting on COVID test results.
  • PLEASE keep the school office informed of absences, symptoms, and test results.
  • Thank you for keeping your kids home when they have cold-like symptoms!

Homework Club (After School Care)

Parents, please be aware that Homework Club is only available on full days of school. Be sure you have your registration form filled out and turned in to the middle school office. You may also fill out the registration here! Students who are in the building past 3:15 pm must be under the supervision of a teacher or coach or be registered and attending Homework Club.

Parents will be billed on a monthly basis. All fees will be included in your tuition bill. An email will be sent out monthly with this information for your reference.

Faces and Our Cultures Program

We are happy to share with you that we are once again welcoming Guatemalan students to campus through the Faces and Our Cultures Program this fall.

We would like to invite you to learn more about FACES and the possibility of becoming a Host Family for one of these students for 8 weeks. The program has led to wonderful friendships and has provided our students and hosts with valuable cultural experiences.

If you are interested in hosting a student and participating in this life-enriching experience, you can contact Srta. Richline srichline@grcs.org, contact Gaby Padilla, who is our State Coordinator at gaby.padilla@facesandcultures.com, or complete the Host Family Form HERE
