GRCES Iroquois K— 4 Drop-Off and Pick-Up Procedures 

Dear Iroquois Campus Kindergarten — 4th Grade Parents,

Please read ALL of these details carefully so we can provide the safest, healthiest, and most efficient drop-off and pick-up routine as possible.

DROP-OFF AND PICK-UP: GENERAL INFORMATION

1. Cars will enter the circle drive using the main (south) entrance off Iroquois.
   • All traffic will be ONE WAY.
   • No entry permitted at the exit drive (north) on Iroquois.
2. Stay to the left of the cones once in the car line.
   • Children will be walking or waiting on the sidewalk and in the “No Parking” lane.
3. All children will enter the building through the front door.
4. Parents may not park and walk to the front entrance to drop-off or pick-up children.
   • Parents who live in close proximity/walking distance to the school are free to walk their child(ren) to the front.
   • Parents who wish to park their cars in the neighborhood, as long as their chosen parking spot follows parking rules and does not interfere with or hinder traffic flow, may park their cars and walk their child to the front.
   • All parents who are walking their children to school are required to wear a mask.

BEFORE SCHOOL DROP-OFF

1. Parents may only drop-off students at the front doors.
   • Gates to the playground will be locked.
   • Students who are car riders may not be dropped off by the playground.
   • Bus riders will be walking to the front doors from their busses.
2. Once dropped off, students will be welcomed by staff and will then walk to their classrooms where their teacher will welcome them.
   • Staff will be on duty at drop-off starting at 7:45 am.
   • Doors will not be unlocked prior to 7:45 am.
   • Please do not drop your child off prior to 7:45 am.
3. Practice and prepare for drop-off and pick-up
   • PLEASE PRACTICE GETTING IN AND OUT OF THE CAR WITH YOUR CHILD.
   • We want a safe and efficient drop-off and pick-up.
   • If possible, please have your child’s belongings in the car with them, not in the trunk.
4. Health Screening
   • Please make sure to fill out the health screen form before coming to school.
   • If you forgot to fill out the health screener, please make sure your child goes directly to the office where their temperature will be taken and approved.

AFTER SCHOOL PICK-OFF

1. PLEASE do not enter the car line until 3:00.
   • Children will not start entering cars until 3:10 pm when the bells ring.
   • This will allow classroom teachers to get students safely to the car line and the line to move safely and efficiently.
2. There will be NO GYM PICK-UP this year. The car line will always be used for after school pick-up.
3. Kids will be lined up in order of grades, starting with Kindergarten closest to the entrance (see map).
   • If you have students in multiple grades, you will make multiple stops.
   • Having your child’s first name and grade on your car sign is important. Please see the template that is provided.
   • Kids can buckle in as you move down the line before you exit in an effort to keep the line moving.
4. If you have a preschooler, you will do preschool pick-up then drive around to get into the car line to pick-up students from grades K-4.
5. There are 2 exits when you get to the end of the car line.
   • You may exit to the left onto Iroquois or you may exit straight onto Alexander.
6. Parents will stay in cars at all times to keep the line moving.
   • If your child needs help getting in, a teacher will support them.
7. The car line will move as ONE lane.
