Parent Teacher Conferences

Conferences will be held this coming Thursday, February 23 and also Thursday, March 2. The time frames on both days are 4:00 - 6:00 pm and 6:30 - 8:00 pm. If you have not yet signed up for conferences, please check in with the teacher or email Laura Szotko (lszotko@grcs.org). 

Upcoming All School Chapel Dates

Please join us on the following Fridays for all school chapel:

• March 10
• May 5
• May 26
• June 2

All chapels begin at 8:25 am in the Gym and end at approximately 9:00 am.
Please stop in the office to sign in before you go to chapel. 

🎶DATE CHANGE for Spring Program! 🎶

The 1st/2nd grade Spring program has been rescheduled to Monday, March 13 at 7:00 pm. This is a ticketed event; tickets are free. Each family may receive 5 tickets - Click here for tickets. Tickets are now available. Please share your child's name in the remarks box near the bottom of the checkout page. If you would like additional tickets, please email the Box Office at jzandstra@grcs.org.

🚌 Important No GRPS Busing Date 🚌

Please note that GRPS buses will NOT run on Monday, March 13. GR Christian buses will run as usual. 

It's Important to Report All Absences and Late Arrivals to the Office

• Please ALWAYS notify the office about late arrivals and absences, even if you also notify the teachers.
• Email IRAttendance@grcs.org or call the attendance line at 616.574.6590 and leave a voicemail. Both options are accessible 24/7.

Parents or guardians should accompany students into the building and sign them out and back in for any appointments during the school day. 

Sick Policy

Students should be symptom and fever-free without medication for 24 hours before returning to school even if they have tested negative for Covid.

Skating Party

Join us for an all-GRCES skating party on Wednesday, March 8 from 1:30 - 4:00 pm. The price is $5 and includes admission and regular skate rental. The location is GR Skate, Kentwood location, 14 52nd St. SE. You can buy tickets at the door, or buy in advance by scanning the QR code on the flyer. We can't wait to see you at this PTO-sponsored event!

🤩 Family Fun Night!

We are seeking volunteers for the committee planning Family Fun Night, which is planned for this spring on Friday, May 12. Planning and organizing happen throughout the winter into the spring. Please consider being part of making this exciting event for our school happen.
