Jump For Jubilee  

From March 17 - April 7 students will be raising money to buy athletic supplies for Jubilee school. Jubilee is a Christian school in Tegucigalpa, Honduras serving at-risk children in an impoverished neighborhood - jubileecentershn.org. We are asking students to raise sponsorship for the time they commit engaging in physical activity.  Donors can give a flat rate, or make a pledge based on their student’s recorded activity minutes.  Students who complete their log can turn in the bottom portion to their teacher to be entered in a drawing by Tuesday, April 11.  Money will be collected online at https://www.grcs.org/jump by April 14.  Extra activity logs and sponsorship forms are also found at this site.  

📚 March is Reading Month! 

Let's show how wild about reading we are! Let's have fun and show our school spirit on Wild Wednesdays!

🕶 March 29 - Shades Day (bring your favorite sunglasses for reading!)

⚾️The West Michigan Whitecaps are once again sponsoring a reading program during March where students can read their way around the bases and earn two free tickets for any home game between April 6 - June 11, 2023.  Additional tickets can be ordered as well. Check in with your child's teacher for details.

🎉 Michigan author Kelly DiPucchio visited today.

• Ask your 3rd or 4th grader about their Readers are Leaders presentation. Students learned how unique details can transform weary stories into WOW!
• As your K-2 student about their Gaston and Friends presentation. Students learned about characters, settings and story problems as well as lots of dogs!

Yearbook - Deadline to Order is April 15

Please join us on the following Fridays for all school chapel:

• April 14 - Easter Chapel
• May 5

• June 2

All chapels begin at 8:25 am in the Gym and end at approximately 9:00 am.
Please stop in the office to sign in before you go to chapel. 

Please Report All Absences and Late Arrivals to the Office

• Please ALWAYS notify the office about late arrivals and absences, even if you also notify the teachers.
• Email IRAttendance@grcs.org or call the attendance line at 616.574.6590 and leave a voicemail. Both options are accessible 24/7.

Parents or guardians should accompany students into the building and sign them out and back in for any appointments during the school day. 

Sick Policy

Students should be symptom and fever-free without medication for 24 hours before returning to school even if they have tested negative for Covid.

SpartanNash has ended their Direct Your Dollars program so there's no need to turn in any more receipts. With your support we were able to make our goal and hopefully will receive a check for $1000. We havn't yet received a check but will keep you posted!
