Tomorrow is a Half Day! (Wednesday, March 8)

Wednesday, March 8 is a half day due to Professional Development for staff.
Preschool dismissal 11:00 am
K-4 dismissal 12:10 pm

Both GRCS and GRPS buses will run their usual routes in the morning and also at the half day dismissal time.

March is Reading Month and GRCES is Wild About Reading! 

Let's have fun and show our school spirit on Wild Wednesdays!

• March 8 - Read Your Shirt Day (wear a shirt with words)
• March 15 - Clash Day (wear mismatched clothes)
• March 22 - Team Day (wear Eagle gear or your favorite team jersey)
• March 29 - Shades Day (bring your favorite sunglasses for reading!)

Please join us on the following Fridays for all school chapel:

• March 10
• April 14 - Easter Chapel
• May 5
• May 26
• June 2

All chapels begin at 8:25 am in the Gym and end at approximately 9:00 am.
Please stop in the office to sign in before you go to chapel. 

🎶Spring Program for 1st and 2nd grade🎶

The 1st/2nd grade Spring program has been rescheduled to Monday, March 13 at 7:00 pm at the Center for Arts and Worship at Grand Rapids Christian High School.

• Children are invited to dress their best!
• Please arrive between 6:30 and 6:40pm.
• 1st graders report to the choir room
• 2nd graders report to the band room

Each family may receive 5 free tickets - Click here for tickets.  Please share your child's name in the remarks box near the bottom of the checkout page. If you would like additional tickets, please email the Box Office at jzandstra@grcs.org.

🚌 Important No GRPS Busing Date 🚌

Please note that GRPS buses will NOT run on Monday, March 13.
GR Christian buses will run as usual. 

Please Report All Absences and Late Arrivals to the Office

• Please ALWAYS notify the office about late arrivals and absences, even if you also notify the teachers.
• Email IRAttendance@grcs.org or call the attendance line at 616.574.6590 and leave a voicemail. Both options are accessible 24/7.

Parents or guardians should accompany students into the building and sign them out and back in for any appointments during the school day. 

Sick Policy

Students should be symptom and fever-free without medication for 24 hours before returning to school even if they have tested negative for Covid.

Skating Party Tomorrow!

Join us for an all-GRCES skating party on Wednesday, March 8 from 1:30 - 4:00 pm. The price is $5 and includes admission and regular skate rental. The location is GR Skate, Kentwood location, 14 52nd St. SE. You can buy tickets at the door, or buy in advance. We can't wait to see you at this PTO-sponsored event!

Staff Appreciation
