Evergreen Principal's Corner — December 15, 2020

Dear Evergreen Families,

This school year I find myself beginning most meetings and events by saying, “We are doing things differently this year.”  We all know that so many things are different right now.

However, as I walk through the halls at school this week I’ve been reflecting on how many things aren’t different. I walk into classrooms at Evergreen and I see students learning. They are learning math and reading, science and social studies.  They are learning how to work together in community.  This Christmas season they continue to learn about God’s love for them and for each person in our world. Evergreen staff members love and nurture their students as they learn and grow.

Evergreen families are committed to their children and to all children.  Families have been diligent about following guidelines to keep children healthy. Families joyfully sang Christmas Carols at home and baked cookies during the virtual Cookies and Carols event.  Thank you, Evergreen families.

The classrooms, playground, and hallways at Evergreen vibrate with energy and joy. It’s Christmas.  God is present today and always.

Blessings to you and your families this Christmas,

—Ann Bakker
