Evergreen Principal's Corner — May 5, 2020

Dear Evergreen Families,

It’s teacher appreciation week. During the past two months, teachers have moved from classroom instruction to online instruction. They adapt lesson plans, record lessons, and organize zoom meetings. Some things haven’t changed. Evergreen teachers continue to pray with and for their students, lead morning devotions with and for their students.  Evergreen teachers continue to love and care for their students. Thank you, Evergreen teachers and staff.

This is also a week to express my sincere appreciation to parents, grandparents, and others who care for our Evergreen students while they are at home. You truly partner with us. I’m so very grateful for the time that you spend each day to make certain your children complete their school work and participate in zoom meetings with their classmates.  Thank-you Evergreen families.

We are not at school, celebrating teacher appreciation week. But, we continue to develop a deeper appreciation of the wonderful partnership we have between home and school as we work together to prepare students to be effective students of Christ in contemporary society.

Remember today and always that God is our Rock.

—Ann Bakker

The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer; my God is my rock in whom I take refuge. He is my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.
—Psalm 18:2
