Welcome Back!

Dear GRCHS Families,

Thank you for your prayers, support, and attention to the many details needed to kick off our school year. To say that our community has come together for our reopening is an understatement. Our students have been wonderful and our faculty and staff is working so hard to support them in their learning. Seeing students walk through the doors reminds us of God’s call on our lives to work with young people. Your words of encouragement and prayers definitely lift us up. We are grateful!

As you know, our theme verse for the year is Colossians 1:17 and says “He is before all things, and in Him, all things hold together.”

As worry, anxiety and even fear creep in, this verse reminds us that God goes before us, providing us with freedom and peace that can only come from him. We are the body of Christ and God uses us to hold each other together. We have been using the phrase “Be Third” with our students to talk about God’s call to put him first, others second, and ourselves third.

In a year where we literally depend on each other to stay in school, this servant leadership is more important than ever. Each student’s conscious decision to wear a mask properly and to maintain physical distancing is an act of service. We praise God that we can do his work as we serve one another.

As we continue to work through new systems and routines, we ask that you take a few minutes to read a few reminders and clarifications below.

Thank you again for partnering with us in making this a great year!
