Iroquois Principal's Corner - September 6, 2022
Welcome to September! I pray you all enjoyed some time with family and friends this past Labor Day weekend!
One of the best parts of my year here at Iroquois is the day second graders get their very own Adventure Bible from GRCS. This is a tradition that has been going on for several years, and it’s something we plan to continue for many years to come. Witnessing our kids receive their new Bible is so cool. Second graders dive right in.
Isn’t it great that our students are immersed in the Good News of Jesus each day? When our kids learn about David, Paul, Adam, Eve, John and Job they learn that God chose people that were broken and had pretty hard lives. Our kids learn that the Bible is a story and a guide that affirms that people make mistakes. They learn that the Bible will not make them perfect, but that although we are all sinners, we are loved unconditionally and are capable of sharing that love with others. They learn there is hope in a broken world through the grace of Jesus Christ.
I’m so thrilled we get to share this Good News with our students here at Iroquois. It is my prayer you see and hear how your child is growing in their faith.
