Middle School Principal's Corner — August 25, 2020

All Things.  Hold Together.

It was back in June when some of us gathered via zoom as a district to decide what we might choose for the 2020-2021 school theme. At that time, we had a fair dose of COVID-19 living.

As a group, we landed on Colossians 1:17. “He is before all things, and in Him, all things hold together.”

Last Friday, we introduced this theme to the students.  They will hear about it many times throughout the year from many different perspectives. They will be challenged to think about what this verse means to them and how they have witnessed it coming to fruition.

What struck me is how much it has already seemed to stick with students, teachers, and parents.

It has for sure been a trying year already…. but the positivity of the community is contagious. We have experienced a pandemic together, yet we know that we have something very important in common... God holds ALL things together.

What a blessing it is to be a part of this Christian community. If you would like to hear what your students heard in chapel last week from some of our staff members, and Julian Newman, Diversity and Inclusion Initiative Consultant, please click HERE.
