Middle School Principal's Corner — May 26, 2020

Great is God’s Faithfulness

By the grace of God, we have successfully completed another school year of loving,  learning, and serving at GRCMS.  As we all know, this year has brought joys and challenges and the most unusual of circumstances as we have been confronted by a global pandemic.  I want to once again thank our dedicated GRCMS staff for all that they have done to keep relationships and community alive during this time apart and for keeping learning moving forward.

I also want to thank our students and families for keeping the partnership strong between home and school as it meant new routines and rhythms at home.  Thanks for partnering with us in the education of your children and in encouraging and supporting us through this time apart.

Finally, as I complete my final year at GRCMS, I want to thank you all for the support, encouragement, prayers, and friendship that you have given me over the past three years.  I have been blessed and honored to be the principal and to work with an amazing staff of committed Christian educators and to partner with families in the challenging but wonderful years of middle school.  I have enjoyed coming to work each and every day!

I want to close by remembering one of my grandmother’s favorite songs, which has since become one of my favorites.  She and my grandfather raised ten kids, and she knew God’s mercies and literally sang of them daily.  She is one of many examples in my life of witnesses who recognized, appreciated, and thanked God for the little things.  She did small things with great love over and over and over for her family because of her faith.

“Great is Thy faithfulness / Morning by morning new mercies I see / All I have needed Thy  hand hath provided.”

Great is God’s faithfulness to all of us.  I wish all of you a blessed summer!
