Fresh Starts

Fall has arrived, and God is showing us His artistic majesty through the colors He is beginning to reveal to us in the trees. The change of seasons is one of my favorite parts of living in Michigan! Only if the winters were not quite so long. This change in season gives me the reminder of fresh starts.  Not only does God give His creation around us opportunities for fresh starts, but He also gives us fresh starts. As we are reminded in 1 Peter 1:3, "Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In His great mercy, He has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead."

This past week has not been an easy week at the middle school as we have worked through our first Covid outbreak. Many hands and many hours were put into doing our best to keep kids in school when possible while keeping our community safe. My hope and prayer as we move into a few days away from the school routine next week (CEA Convention) is that we may be blessed with a fresh start. Please pray with me for a blanket of health over our community so that our hard-working and talented staff can continue to meet with students in person and help them grow spiritually, academically, socially, and emotionally as children of God.

Isaiah 40:31 — "But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint."
