Rockford Principal's Corner — August 31 2021

Dear Rockford Christian Families,

Today marks our tenth day of school and we already have much to celebrate!

  • Our theme, “One Another,” has set the tone for vibrant, resilient, and Christ-centered classroom communities. Ask your child if they know the theme verse yet!
  • K-8 students and their families have been able to gather together for family time. Yesterday, Ms. Barrett reminded us of the power of our words — have your child tell what happens to a plant when you encourage it.
  • Classrooms are bubbling with the work of teaching and learning. It is our prayer that each day at RCS your child is becoming more and more of the person who God has called them to be.
  • From outdoor ed with Mr. Phil to math lessons in outdoor classrooms, students have been learning outside in God’s Creation. Does your child have a favorite place on campus yet?

I also want to celebrate the support and encouragement of our Rockford Christian Families. We are deeply grateful for the opportunity to partner with each of you as we prepare effective servants of Christ in contemporary society.

In Him,

— Ben Buursma
