Rockford Principal's Corner — December 1, 2020

Dear Rockford Christian Families,

I pray your Thanksgiving break allowed time for rest, reflection, and togetherness with those you love. This thanksgiving looked different for my family, and yet I’m reminded of the words from 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18, “Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” In a year where it feels like everything has looked different, I hope you are able to see God’s hand at work.

God has certainly been at work this year at Rockford Christian. Paradoxically, my time away from school reinforced how deeply grateful I am for our community. Families have taken new steps to protect the health and safety of our students, students have managed new ways of learning, and teachers have time and again met the unique challenges of this year with flexibility, grace, and love.

Thank you for all you have done to keep our children safe as we prepare them to be effective servants of Christ. We do not know what the future holds, but we can trust that God is with us. He goes before us and holds all things together.

In Him,

— Ben Buursma
