Today marks the 100th day of in-person learning at Rockford Christian School this year! 

100 days is worth celebrating in any year, but especially this one -- teachers, students, and families have come together in big and small ways to make this accomplishment possible. From completing the daily health screeners and finding a mask that will actually stay on your face to virtual learning and outdoor education, the challenges and opportunities of this year have put the incredible community at Rockford Chrisitan on display. 

Thank you for all you have done to get us this far! God has truly been faithful. 

As I look ahead to the 101st day of school and beyond, I’m hoping you might spread the good news. The excellent PreK-8th grade education we offer is only possible through committed families like yours. Many of our grades have openings for next school year, and we would love to add new students to our community. Thank you!

Mrs. Radius to Retire at the end of the Year

In 1997 the movie Titanic debuted in theaters, the Chicago Bulls won their 5th championship with Michael Jordan, and Karla Radius was helping to start a school called Rockford Christian. A lot has changed since 1997, yet Mrs. Radius’ kind, calm presence has remained constant. It would be impossible to tally all the phone calls she has answered, band-aids she’s passed out, or problems she’s solved. She has left her mark on our school as a staff member, mother, and committed follower of Christ.

The 2020-21 school year has been filled with so many challenges, but the biggest might be saying goodbye to Mrs. Radius at the end of the year. One student even asked his mom, “Do they have to close the school when Mrs. Radius gets sick?” We don’t plan on closing school after Mrs. Radius’s retirement, but we will miss her dearly.

Please join me in thanking Karla for her faithful service to our students and families over these past years! God is good!
