Second Grade Needs Your Help!

The second graders are collecting recycled cartons for a special upcoming project! If you have any 1/2 gallon cartons of milk or orange juice, would you please consider sending them into the second-grade classroom? THANK YOU!

Parents, please remember to send:

  • A water bottle
  • Face coverings (an extra or two is great)

Lost and Found

Look for the coatrack outside at pick-up time on Fridays. After May 27, we will keep items for one week after which they will be donated to New 2 You.

Family Time

At Rockford Christian, we start each week with Family Time. Although we cannot yet gather in person as a whole community, we do not want to miss out on this important time of worship. You are invited to join us each Monday from 8:45 am — 9:00 am over Zoom.

Please use this link and be sure to turn off your camera and microphone when you arrive. Thanks!

Outdoor Education News

God has blessed Rockford Christian School with a wonderful location.

If one were to look at the beauty of our campus with a “country club” mindset, it would all appear lovely. We mow a lot of grass. We have non-native trees lining our driveway. We have a battle going on with invasive plants along our trails and near our outdoor classrooms.

As we work this month with the topic of “Michigan Invaders,” we will see that even our campus is not immune to the invasion of unwanted and threatening species of plants and animals. Ask your students what they are learning about this important topic.

Pop Can and Spare Change Fund: Homes Giving Hope. So far this month we have netted $65.20.

We have a new sand volleyball court! Keep your eyes open for all of the changes taking place!

Moms, Dads, Grandparents in Prayer

We will meet outdoors, wearing masks, walking, and praying in groups of 2-3.

Here is a link to the mobile prayer sheets. You can use the listed link to pray for your children anytime:

Recess Volunteers

Volunteers are needed daily to supervise children on the playground. Afternoon recess takes place from 12:20 pm — 12:55 pm (elementary until 12:40 pm and then continues to cover middle school until 12:55 pm).

Please consider volunteering as you are able. Kids LOVE seeing loved ones during recess. You can sign up by clicking on Sign-Up Genius.

RCS Athletics

Current 8th-11th graders planning to play sports at Grand Rapids Christian High School in the 2021-2022 school year need to have an MHSAA physical form on file with the high school athletic office before they are allowed to participate. A valid physical for 2021-22 must be completed any time after April 15, 2021.

You may turn in the completed physical to the GRCHS athletic office by mail or email (to as soon as you finish it, even if it is before the end of this school year or during the summer. You may print out a physical form here.

This form must be completed with all signatures in order to participate in sports at GRCHS. You may attach your doctor’s office physical form for the doctor portion of this form but the parent portion and all signatures need to be completed on this form.
