Learning Commons Volunteer

Attention parents! Do you love books? Do you love to volunteer at school? Are you organized and a lover of detail? If so, we would LOVE to have you volunteer in the Learning Commons! We might task you with things like shelving books, cleaning up messy shelves, delivering books and other things to classrooms, and more! We promise it will be fun - because the library is the BEST place to be! If you are interested, please contact Carla Hardy at chardy@grcs.org. Thank you!

Support David's House Ministry

Mr. Dave, one of our aides here at RCS, is doing a walk/ride/run event to benefit David's House ministry this Saturday. You are welcome to come out and enjoy the event or support him here. Thanks!

Mountain Biking Club

With all of the interest that we have heard from both middle school and elementary school families, we have decided to offer two biking groups that will meet at the same time: a 3rd and 4th-grade group and a middle school group. If your student is in either of these age groups and interested in joining the mountain biking club on September 19, September 26, or October 10 (from 3:45-5 pm), please fill out this form. Thanks for staying updated as we try something new!

  • 4th-6th grade: Thursdays Nov 3 to Nov 17, 3:30 - 4:45 pm

A Note From Outdoor Education

Many people have been asking about our plans for the logs that are stationed along the front driveway. The short answer is: "time will tell." Stay tuned! The long answer is not worth explaining yet.

Our Pop Can and Spare Change Drive for September is over $120.00 as of Labor Day. On behalf of the Baxter Community Center, thank you!

One of our partners, Plainsong Farm, will be hosting a work day on Saturday, September 24. If you are interested in checking out this family opportunity to serve, click here.

After the big storm, our trails are now just about cleared out again. We had to relocate part of a trail because of downed trees, but all is now passable. We have over a mile of trails located here at school. Come take a walk sometime and see our outdoor classroom.

Parents in Prayer

We have a unique opportunity to gather as moms, dads, and grandparents to pray for our school — little siblings are welcome too!

Parents In Prayer will be meeting on Wednesday mornings after drop-off. We will again be meeting outside and walking around the campus. We will follow the guidelines given by the Moms in Prayer organization. You can find the resources that we will use here.

We look forward to having many parents join us this year!

RCS TRIP Office

The TRIP Office is available on Tuesday mornings in the RCS Office!

New to TRIP? TRIP allows you to reduce the cost of tuition by purchasing gift cards and gift certificates for things you buy every day from hundreds of national and local vendors.

How does TRIP work? When you purchase gift cards at face value, a percentage of your purchase is credited to your TRIP account. Two times per year (Nov. 1 and May 1), the accumulated TRIP credits are applied as payment to your tuition account, or donated to the tuition account you have designated.
