Good-Bye to Sledding
The time of year has arrived for us to say good-bye to sledding. Please take home your sled for storage until next year!
Please send a water bottle to school!
Parents, please remember to send water to school with your student each day. The drinking fountains at school are turned off for your student's safety. The water bottle fillers are in operation. This means we need you to send water bottles from home. Students need to drink lots of water — especially after outdoor ed, gym class and break. Thank you!
The number of students forgetting face coverings has been increasing lately. Please remember to send your student with a face covering, and an extra in the backpack would be great!
Lost and Found
Our Lost and Found rack is getting full! Look for it outside at pick-up time on Fridays.
Getting Ready for the Digital Art Show
Parents, you may have received an email recently with the subject line: ________'s art teacher wants your child to join Artsonia. Please click "give permission" to allow for Mrs. Yeates to upload your student's masterpieces for the art show. More information to follow!

Please use this link and be sure to turn off your camera and microphone when you arrive. Thanks!
Mrs. Decker to Retire
It is with mixed emotions that we announce that Brend Decker will be retiring at the end of the school year. Mrs. Decker has touched countless families over the 12 years at RCS. We will miss Brenda's creativity, joy, and servant's heart. We thank God for the blessing Brenda has been to our community and wish her well as she spends more time with family.
Outdoor Education News
It’s spring cleaning time in the world of Outdoor Education! As the snow disappears, it seems the clean-up projects emerge. We will be digging up invasive plants, cleaning up some trails, and picking up trash. We also will be challenging our middle schoolers to think about environmental ethics and what that means.
Now that the 49th Annual Iditarod is complete, we are still collecting pop cans and spare change for the Paws with a Cause program. So far this month we have brought in $97.28 and will stay with this effort until spring vacation. Help us out if you can! (By the way, Mr. Dave was VERY excited when he found out we were supporting this program that he has benefited from in the past!)
We loved the snow, but we welcome the warm sunny weather too!
Moms, Dads, Grandparents in Prayer
We will meet outdoors, wearing masks, walking, and praying in groups of 2-3.
Here is a link to the mobile prayer sheets. You can use the listed link to pray for your children anytime: momsinprayer.org/group-leaders.
Volunteers are needed daily to supervise children on the playground. Afternoon recess takes place from 12:20 pm — 12:55 pm (elementary until 12:40 pm and then continues to cover middle school until 12:55 pm).
Please consider volunteering as you are able. Kids LOVE seeing loved ones during recess. You can sign up by clicking on Sign-Up Genius.
