Final School Year Family Time — Thursday, May 27

We will hold the last Family Time for 2020-2021 on Thursday, May 27, from 8:45 am — 9:45 am. We plan to be outside under the canopy, weather permitting, and invite parents and siblings to join us. Chairs will be available, but feel free to bring your own.

Report Cards

Report cards will be available for parent viewing on Thursday, June 3 at 9:00 am

After May 27, we will keep items for one week, after which any remaining items will be donated to New 2 You.

Outdoor Education News

Our first year of Outdoor Education at RCS is coming to a conclusion. It has been a busy year despite a pandemic that did limit some of our experiences. Thank you for supporting this new initiative and for helping your children realize the importance of creation.  Continue it this summer:

• Build a compost pile at home.
• Go camping instead of a visit to a cottage.
• Sleep under the stars at a beach.
• Check your yard for invasive plants.
• Plant a tree.
• Marvel at a sunset.

Keep the experiential learning going! Have a wonderful adventure-filled summer!

RCS Office Summer Hours

The RCS office will start summer hours during the week of May 31. We will be open daily from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. beginning Tuesday, June 1, until Thursday, June 10. We will resume our regular office hours on Monday, August 2.

RCS Athletics

Current 8th-11th graders planning to play sports at Grand Rapids Christian High School in the 2021-2022 school year need to have an MHSAA physical form on file with the high school athletic office before they are allowed to participate. A valid physical for 2021-22 must be completed any time after April 15, 2021.

You may turn in the completed physical to the GRCHS athletic office by mail or email (to cgroendyk@grcs.org) as soon as you finish it, even if it is before the end of this school year or during the summer. You may print out a physical form here.  

This form must be completed with all signatures in order to participate in sports at GRCHS. You may attach your doctor’s office physical form for the doctor portion of this form, but the parent portion and all signatures need to be completed on this form.
