Lost and Found
Take a look at our virtual lost and found items that your student might be missing. Anything that has not been claimed by Friday will be donated next week!
Picture Retakes – Nov 14
If you're satisfied with your child's picture, no further action is required.
If you purchased and were unhappy with your Picture Package, please email Ashley Howe and send your Picture Package to school with your student on Retake Day. Your Retake Picture Package will be produced and shipped to the school four weeks after Retake Day. Please note, if your child is photographed on the original and Retake Picture Days, the Retake picture will replace the original picture in certain products, like the yearbook.
Students who were absent for Picture Day should come to school prepared to have their picture taken. If you have not preordered, please use the Retake Order Code 71312VF to place your order at https://inter-state.com/Order. To see your Order History, check your Inter-State Account.
Find answers to Retake Day questions here.
5th – 8th Grade Christmas Concert
A note from Mrs. Pollmann: With the change in weather and the thought of snow, I am reminded that our Christmas concerts will soon be upon us! Students have been working hard on singing and playing for our December 5 Band, Orchestra, and Choir concert. Our songs are certain to brighten your evening and bring us full circle to the true reason for the season. Please add Monday, December 5 at 7:00 pm to your calendar for our Middle School Christmas Concert. Students are to arrive at 6:30 pm to warm up! Catch the excitement of Christmas and the reason for the season. See you there!
K-4 Christmas Program
Rockford Christian Elementary presents: "Come to the Manger!" This program is an interactive lesson and carols production. You will enter into our musical experience by listening to songs and true stories, joining us in singing about the true reason for the season. Please reserve Tuesday, December 13 at 7:00 pm on your calendar. You won't want to miss it!
Early Release Day – December 7
Just a reminder that on Wednesday, December 7th all Grand Rapids Christian Schools, including Rockford Christian, will be dismissing students at 11:15 am. Please note, if your student rides Rockford Public School Transporation, there will be no transportation available at the time of dismissal. If you have any questions, please contact the office.
A Note From Outdoor Education
Welcome to November!
Our fifth graders have all returned safely from Survival School! Our annual trip up north was made easy by the beautiful weather – no rain or snow this year – but we will call them survivors nonetheless! Miss Quist and I thank you for supporting such experiences throughout the year!
Our Pop Can and Spare Change Drive netted $107.07 this past month for World Renew. As the holidays approach, we will be collecting cans for Mel Trotter Ministries and their efforts to bless our local homeless population through the end of the year. Thank you for your donations and for helping our students understand the importance of caring for others.
Our compost bin would also like to thank you for the pumpkins that might otherwise be tossed in the trash. We have quite a collection of future good soil going right now! While the signs may come down soon, your old pumpkins are always welcome to find a new home in our bin!
RCS PTO News
Volunteers Needed
Our next PTO meeting will be on Thursday, December 1 at 6:30 pm in the RCS staff lounge, near the gym entrance. Please contact Lindsey Toth if you are interested in joining or have questions about serving.
If you would like to join our Auction Committee to help plan the spring auction, please contact Allison Breuker.
If you're interested in being a room parent this school year, please contact Katie Underwood.
Take a look at the meeting minutes from the October 27 PTO Meeting.
RCS TRIP Office
The TRIP Office is available on Tuesday mornings in the RCS Office!
New to TRIP? TRIP allows you to reduce the cost of tuition by purchasing gift cards and gift certificates for things you buy every day from hundreds of national and local vendors.
How does TRIP work? When you purchase gift cards at face value, a percentage of your purchase is credited to your TRIP account. Two times per year (November 1 and May 1), the accumulated TRIP credits are applied as payment to your tuition account, or donated to the tuition account you have designated.
Parents in Prayer
We have a unique opportunity to gather as moms, dads, and grandparents to pray for our school — little siblings are welcome too!
Parents In Prayer will be meeting on Wednesday mornings after drop-off. We will again be meeting outside and walking around the campus. We will follow the guidelines given by the Moms in Prayer organization. You can find the resources that we will use here.
We look forward to having many parents join us this year!
