Lost and Found

Take a look at our virtual lost and found items that your student might be missing.

Drop-Off and Pick-Up Reminders

In the morning, please have students arrive at school no earlier than 8:15 am, unless registered for Kids Care. If a child is dropped off before 8:15 am, they will be sent to the office.

Also, keep in mind that student pick-up times are 3:10 pm for preschool and 3:20 pm for K-8 students.

🎶 5th – 8th Grade Christmas Concert 🎶

A note from Mrs. Pollmann: With the change in weather and the thought of snow, I am reminded that our Christmas concerts will soon be upon us! Students have been working hard on singing and playing for our December 5 Band, Orchestra, and Choir concert. Our songs are certain to brighten your evening and bring us full circle to the true reason for the season. Please add Monday, December 5 at 7:00 pm to your calendar for our Middle School Christmas Concert. Students are to arrive at 6:30 pm to warm up! Catch the excitement of Christmas and the reason for the season. See you there!

K-4 Christmas Program

Rockford Christian Elementary presents: "Come to the Manger!" This program is an interactive lesson and carols production. You will enter into our musical experience by listening to songs and true stories, joining us in singing about the true reason for the season. Please reserve Tuesday, December 13 at 7:00 pm on your calendar. You won't want to miss it!

Early Release Day – December 7

Just a reminder that on Wednesday, December 7, all Grand Rapids Christian Schools, including Rockford Christian, will be dismissing preschool students at 11:15 am and K-8 students at 11:30 am. Please note, if your student rides Rockford Public School Transporation, there will be no transportation available at the time of dismissal. If you have any questions, please contact the office.

A Note From Outdoor Education

The dropping temperatures indicate it's time again for my seasonal reminder: please have your children dress for the weather, especially on OE days! When a child complains he is cold and he is wearing only a long-sleeved t-shirt, I try to refrain from making a sarcastic remark.

We are entering the holiday season and we wish to remember people who are not as fortunate as we are. Our Pop Can and Spare Change Project will be Mel Trotter Ministries, a Grand Rapids-based agency that serves the homeless people of our community. Click here to learn more about their work. One reason why we offer this kind of opportunity monthly is that learning thankfulness is a life skill. Without understanding the needs of others, some students may believe that what they have is earned, normal, or deserved. None of this is true. We are blessed and are called by Jesus to bless others. Let's try to do this well at Rockford Christian School.

RCS PTO News

Volunteers Needed

Our next PTO meeting will be on Thursday, December 1 at 6:30 pm in the RCS staff lounge, near the gym entrance. Please contact Lindsey Toth if you are interested in joining or have questions about serving.

If you would like to join our Auction Committee to help plan the spring auction, please contact Allison Breuker.

If you're interested in being a room parent this school year, please contact Katie Underwood.

Take a look at the meeting minutes from the October 27 PTO Meeting.

RCS TRIP Office

The TRIP Office is available on Tuesday mornings in the RCS Office!

New to TRIP? TRIP allows you to reduce the cost of tuition by purchasing gift cards and gift certificates for things you buy every day from hundreds of national and local vendors.

How does TRIP work? When you purchase gift cards at face value, a percentage of your purchase is credited to your TRIP account. Two times per year (November 1 and May 1), the accumulated TRIP credits are applied as payment to your tuition account, or donated to the tuition account you have designated.

Parents in Prayer

We have a unique opportunity to gather as moms, dads, and grandparents to pray for our school — little siblings are welcome too!

Parents In Prayer will be meeting on Wednesday mornings after drop-off. We will again be meeting outside and walking around the campus. We will follow the guidelines given by the Moms in Prayer organization. You can find the resources that we will use here.

We look forward to having many parents join us this year!
