😷 Health Awareness

PLEASE keep the school office informed of any symptoms, illnesses, and test results that prevent your student from attending school. Please report all absences to your child's teacher and the school office (kbuursma@grcs.org).

Thank you for keeping your kids home when they are sick. Children who have two or more cold-like symptoms, any child with a fever, and any child who vomits or has diarrhea should remain out of school for 24 hours after symptoms subside and without the use of medication.

🙏 Parents and Grandparents in Prayer

Parents and Grandparents in Prayer meet on Wednesday mornings in the school parking lot at 8:45 after drop-off. We typically walk around the campus as we pray. Little siblings are welcome to join us. We follow the guidelines outlined by Moms in Prayer International. Here is a link to the Moms in Prayer resource.

🛝 Recess Duty

We are always looking for parents to step in and help with recess duty at lunchtime. 12:20 pm to 1 pm. This is a great chance to be on campus and enjoy watching our students interact! Sign up here to join us for recess duty at Rockford Christian.

❗️Friendly Reminders

🌲 A Note from Outdoor Education

Well, it’s almost December. Seasonally, that means we are somewhere between fall and winter. Will we have snow? When will it come? How much (if any)? And how cold will it be? OE changes its direction a bit when the weather is uncertain, but we still go forward with getting your students outside. It’s been said before, “There’s no bad weather, only bad clothing.” Stay prepared and let’s see what happens!

A warm fire can also help. The OE Department is once again selling fire starters! Stop in the office to purchase your best stocking stuffer idea. At $5 for a dozen, you will also be blessing our Pop Can and Spare Change Project for this month: Mel Trotter Ministries.

Thank you once again for supporting the OE program. The enthusiasm of your children testifies to the importance of embracing God’s world and learning more about how to care for it. Onward.

RCS PTO News

Our next PTO gathering will be our Christmas Celebration on November 30. We hope to see you there!

Our next PTO meeting will be on January 18 at 6:30 p.m. in the Learning Commons. Any questions, contact Lindsey Toth

RCS TRIP Office

The TRIP Office is available Tuesday mornings in the RCS Office from 8:00 to 10:00 a.m.

New to TRIP? TRIP allows you to reduce the cost of tuition by purchasing gift cards and gift certificates for things you buy every day from hundreds of national and local vendors.

How does TRIP work? When you purchase gift cards at face value, a percentage of your purchase is credited to your TRIP account. Two times per year (November 1 and May 1), the accumulated TRIP credits are applied as payment to your tuition account, or donated to the tuition account you have designated.
